Welcome to My Blog, Daddy will be updating this site when he is not busy with me.
Wow can’t believe I am already a week old, it has been a pretty amazing week.
Thank you everyone that has made me feel so welcome to this world.
My 2nd day was a quiet day spent in hospital.
Daddy reckons I look like a female boxer here 🙂
This is me, when I was just 15 hours old
My 2nd night was quite a restless night, with lots of crying and feeling uncomfortable in my tummy.
Just after picking Nana Ann up at the airport at 3am on Sunday 30th September, I decided it was time for me to come into the World, so at about 4am Mummy started labour.
So on Sunday morning Mummy was having contractions, daddy was running around the house like a blue ass fly and Nana found out that mummy was in labour by reading it on the Internet at about 11am.
At about 3pm Mummy was getting contractions lasting about a minute and 5 minutes apart so mum smsed, Aunty Ginny, our Doula. Ginny kept saying wait, wait. Daddy asked “what are we wating for? the feet?” So at about 430pm we headed to the hospital. After a few hours of contractions and checking mummy’s dilation, the nurse said 8-9cm, So it was all systems GO.
Mummy giving Birth to me :-), With Daddy and Aunty Ginny giving lots of support. Yelling “just breath” then “Push!!!!”
I came out as a Footling Breach, where my feet came out 1st, Daddy says my little toes came out 1st. Margret today said that the Chinese believe that feet 1st means that I am intelligent.
Â
I came out and showed everyone I had a great set of lungs.
Here I am just minutes old with mummy
A little quiet time with Mum just after Birth, a beautiful bonding time.
Here I am with Mum, Dad and Nana Ann.Â
Brendon said that Mum looked exhausted, its a really bad photo of her as she looked incrediblly well.
She was incredible, a natural Birth meaning she had no Drugs, She even turned down the Panadol afterwards when we were back in our room at the hospital. Daddy says “She’s one tough cookie”
